Jordana, also known as Jordy, grew up on a cattle property in Central Queensland between Mackay & Rockhampton where her family breed Santa cattle and stockhorses. Her love for horses began whilst working alongside her family, mustering on horses, competing in campdrafting and the odd bush pony club gymkhana. Jordy’s dad is a passionate, talented horseman and inspired her to pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine with the intention to focus on horses, in particular reproduction and performance horse medicine.

Jordy graduated from The Rockhampton Grammar School and attended James Cook University in Townsville where she completed her Bachelor of Veterinary Science degree. Post graduation she worked in a busy mixed practice in Gracemere, Qld. There she saw a wide variety of cases both small and large animal. Although her heart has always been with equine medicine, so she made the move to Toowoomba to work with EVS at the end of 2023. Jordy is particularly interested in wound management, dentistry, lameness and reproduction. She also loves the odd calving and cattle case. She is a proud member of both the Equine Veterinary Association and Cattle Vets Australia and holds a Level 1 in Equine Dentistry qualification. When not at work Jordy spends her time with her two beloved dogs, Evie and Sunny, searching for a new brunch spot, reading, going to the gym and travelling home to the family property.
